A The campaign was launched to encourage visitors to Scotland to explore its most famous landmarks – namely the Glenfinnan Viaduct, which was used as part of the filming of the Harry Potter film series.

Sine MacKellaig-Davis, Chairman of the Road to the Isles Marketing Group, said: “While around 350,000 tourists visit the Glenfinnan Viaduct and Memorial to Covid, and a large percentage of them did not extend their visit to the west, and missed the great variety of art, culture, wildlife, beaches, sunsets and sights beyond the bridge.

“The viaduct and monument are incredible sights and we are very lucky that tourists flock to see it, however there is so much more in the region.

“As we are moving in the right direction after a difficult year for tourism and hospitality, we want people to walk less traveled routes, a little more time to immerse themselves in the true culture of the West Highland and the abundance of hidden gems on the coast, that will delight, inspire and entertain. ”

The campaign #MyRoadtotheIsles aims to encourage tourists to “explore behind the bridge”
