As the holiday weekend approaches and the weather forecast looks surprisingly promising, many will be looking for ideas for fun family outings.
Tatton Park’s Farm hosts a variety of traditional English Fayre festivities on weekends, with events such as circus performances, handicrafts, and morris dancers to keep the whole family entertained.
There will be plenty of activities to jump into, including Egg and spoon races or a show of strength in the farm’s tug of war.
Or if you want to see how good you are with a bow and arrow, Participation in archery is only a small fee.
Entertain yourself with a good old fashioned ferret race and while you’re there you can try your hand at circus skills and end the day with a lively circus show.

For a more relaxed afternoon, you can walk around the farm in peace and meet farm favorites such as newly hatched chicks or watch a milking demonstration.
Browse the stalls at Darlington Jams and The Grateful Sheep Company, or watch the steam engine go by.
Morris dancers as well as pipe and drum bands provide live entertainment.
A barbecue serves a lunch of farm produce and demonstrations of farm handicrafts are offered by the North Cheshire Spinners.

“It sounds like a cliché, but there really is something for everyone,” says Jayne Chapman, farm manager at Tatton Park.
“We know that different generations like to come together as a family on holiday weekends and that our Country Fayre is a perfect day for all ages.”
The Country Fayre is included with your farm tickets for Saturday 28th August through Sunday 30th August.
