Kings Heath is getting a new three-day music festival

A new music festival is coming to Kings Heath this summer, created to celebrate the link between Birmingham and Ireland. Showcasing musical talent from both places, Páirc Festival will be a three-day event, running on the August Bank Holiday 26-28.

The event is set to take place on the outdoor grounds of the former Stadium Club, the New Irish Center in Kings Heath. Among the performers billed to play are Dublin-born Imelda May, Finbar Furey, Nathan Carter and Ocean Color Scene, who will launch the festival on Friday.

As well as three days of music, the festival will feature a street food court and more than 50 market stalls selling local produce and traditional Irish goods. Birmingham Pipes and Drums will be performing too.

Imelda May really has made a huge impact on the music scene in Ireland, UK and beyond so it’s a massive pleasure to have her headlining our first year of Páirc Festival.”
