ENGIE, a company specializing in energy, services and regeneration, has received a £ 1.3 million contract from Cheshire East Council to renovate the Nantwich Leisure Center.
The Nantwich, Cheshire recreational facility is managed and operated by Everybody Sports and Recreation (ESAR), which is working in partnership with Cheshire East Council to implement a multi-million pound joint investment program in recreational facilities across Cheshire East.
ESAR was involved in a collaborative design process with ENGIE and other stakeholders before construction began in May.
The development includes various elements, including the expansion of the fitness area, the provision of a two-storey extension with a new entrance to the leisure center, the renovation of the redundant outside changing area and the construction of a specially built spin studio.
This program also includes the integration of several innovative SMART building and green energy generation technologies, such as to local authorities for energy efficiency measures in public buildings.
