Reward offered for information about the female Thomaston bank robber

It doesn’t matter where you are in the state of Connecticut, as the pandemic continues to devastate the way everyone lives, thefts and robberies are increasing everywhere, even our small communities are hit.

In the typically quiet Thomaston there was an armed bank robbery yesterday in a branch of my private bank – Thomaston Savings Bank, Main Street 203.

Sometime yesterday, according to the Thomaston Police Department, a suspect walked into the bank, approached the cashier, allegedly drew a gun and handed the cashier a note asking for money and then fled. Thomaston police believe the suspect is a dark-skinned woman in her mid- to late twenties wearing a green zip-up hoodie, pajama pants or sweater with a print, a knitted hat and a disposable mask.

The Connecticut Bankers Association has stepped up and will be offering a $ 1,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. If you have information, please contact Thomaston Detective Koval at 860-283-4343 and reference number 21-4185.
