We love to receive your photos of the local area, to share with our readers.
You decide what to photograph – whether it’s a special occasion, a local landmark, or just something or somewhere that has caught your eye.
You can see previous galleries here.
If you would like to send us a photo or photos, please contact us by email. Or, you can post them on our Facebook page and we will pick them up from there. Photos must be a minimum of 500 pixels wide.
When a new photo is added, it will be placed at the top of the article, which will be boosted so that it appears in ‘Latest’ on the homepage. That way you will know there is at least one new photo in a gallery, possibly more, to delight your eyes.

28.06.21: Allan Cottrell took these pictures 22 June of his favourite path, close to home, the footpath between Cuckoo Lane and Woodfall Road.
17.06.21: Sent in by Jane Leitch, after a marsh-side walk, she has captured here the view across from Parkgate, a free-range dog-rose rising up and a close-up of its blooms.

07.06.21:Â June 6, 1944: The World War II D-Day invasion of Normandy, France. Poppies are universally recognised as a symbol of the historic day and Lesley Rankin has captured some beautiful photographs in remembrance. Lest We Forget.

31.05.21: Jane Leitch says: “… this is comfrey on the Wirral Way, where half the local bumblies seem to pop in for a quick draught in the evening”.
26.05.21: On yesterday evening’s stroll, Jane Leitch took a lovely photograph of “the buttercup sea with the parish church on its horizon”.
19.05.21: Lesley Rankin is enjoying the sunshine in Parkgate again today.

13.05.21: John Crowther submitted a lovely photograph, that he took: “… on the occasion of the wedding reception of our son Philip and his new wife Nicola on 17th April which was held, in accordance with COVID restrictions, on the balcony of the clubhouse at Neston Club. Perfect weather, perfect view, perfect venue!”

16.03.21: Out on a Sunday stroll, Jane Leitch has captured this lovely shot of wood violets in Flint Meadows.
15.03.21: Two photos follow that were taken by Kevin Taylor, both at around 4.30pm on Thursday 11th March, from The Parade, Parkgate (opposite the Old Quay pub). As Kevin tells: ” A storm had passed up the estuary towards Chester, leaving behind bright sunlight. The two pictures were taken one after the other, looking up and down the estuary. The contrast was striking.”

01.03.21: One morning last week Dave Mort Photography has captured two stunning shots of Parkgate parade in the mist.
01.03.21: Another sign of spring is Graham Parry‘s first butterfly sighting of the year, this gorgeous Small Tortoiseshell butterfly spotted down on the marsh at Quayside on 26th Feb. This will be a butterfly that has hibernated through winter, but encouraged out now by the sunshine.

26.02.21: A little robin followed Lynne Ellis on her walk today and even stopped to pose for a portrait.
26.02.21: Amanda Grimshaw has captured some lovely shots at the beginning of February. The first was taken on the marsh by The Harp and the second down by the Old Quay. The third photograph was taken at the bottom of Marshlands Road.
