Paul Stretford takes full responsibility for the Rylands Recreation Club

The RYLANDS Recreation Club is now under the full control of renowned sports agent Paul Stretford.

The Guardian can disclose that ownership of the Gorsey Lane site has now been acquired by Stretford’s Triple S Sports & Entertainment Group, headquartered in Lymm.

Ownership of the club, founded by Rylands Brothers in 1906, passes to the Extra Care Charitable Trust, which has operated the website since 2001.

Triple S, whose clients include current Manchester United captain Harry Maguire and top England goalscorer Wayne Rooney, has been sponsoring the club since 2012.

They took Warrington Rylands 1906 Football Club to new heights on the soccer field and oversaw the creation of new off-field facilities, including Strettie’s Bar and Grill in the clubhouse.

Rylands was home to tennis, cricket, bowling, and rugby league divisions, but is now used solely for football. Juniors and women join the first team to just make the FA Vase quarter-finals for the first time in their history.They are just two wins away from a final at Wembley.

Warrington-born Stretford, who played football for the club in the 1970s and 1980s after attending Bruche Primary School and Woolston High School, says the club can now thrive as a community hub owned by Triple S. .

“As an international sports and entertainment marketing agency, we are delighted that our Rylands sponsorship has supported the club for several years,” he said.

“We have been part of the growth of the grassroots Rylands Community Football Club, which now has more than 300 players, from local junior football to open-age teams.

“We are also delighted to have contributed to the success of Warrington Rylands 1906 FC as the club was promoted from a Cheshire League club to the North West Counties Premier League and is now on the verge of becoming a Northern Premier League club under the FA League restructuring program to become national.

“Sport has been part of Rylands Recreation Club since 1906 and our purchase of the property will allow sport to flourish and continue on Gorsey Lane into the next century.”

In addition to the base in Lymm, Triple S has offices in London and China. The group’s customers include top football clubs such as Liverpool, Real Madrid, Juventus, Newcastle United and West Ham United.
