The Geronimo Family Festival comes to Heaton Park this summer with a giant mermaid armor and the largest bouncy castle in the world.

A two-day special edition of the Geronimo Family Festival is coming to Heaton Park this summer.

The event is slated to take place on the weekend of June 26-27, a week after the government proposed lifting all social restrictions.

It promises to be a fun family festival with stage shows, arena demonstrations, live music on the main stage, craft tents, donkey rides, camel races, monster truck shows, a fun fair and the world’s largest bouncy castle.

A 20,000 liter mermaid tank with displays on display throughout the day is expected to be a highlight of the event, along with the monster truck arena, two full circuses, tournament knights, a wild west reenactment arena and a high wire walker, which occurs without a performance safety net.

Ahead of the main Geronimo festival at Arley Hall in Cheshire in August this year, there will be three venues with timed events on both days.

The festival, which also includes zip lines and a silent disco, promises all family members something to enjoy. The children’s entertainment is aimed at two to twelve year olds.

Bands like The Rockin Rhinos and Johnny and the Raindrops will be live all weekend and Big Fish Little Fish will be there for the post-rave generation.

Bez from Happy Mondays will be there

There will also be DJ sets from Craig Charles, Bez from Happy Mondays, Clint Boon and “other big Manchester names to be announced”.

The organizers say the festival’s most popular zone will be the main stage, where families can watch children’s TV presenters Sam and Mark, watch the live rock band Rockakoke, and sing along to a giant frozen.

Artisan Food Trucks will be available for all dietary needs and there will be a craft beer garden for those who want to have a beer.

Tickets, which cost £ 15 or £ 55 for a family of four, include entry, activities and attractions, with the exception of rides. Supervisors and under three years are free.

Adults are asked to either provide proof that they have received the Covid vaccine or proof of a negative Covid test prior to entry.

The event will include zip lines

If you forget your test evidence, teams are available to run instant cross flow tests to verify that you are clear. Anyone who tests positive will be turned away and given a refund.

Organizer Simon Goldman said, “We know how important it is for families to have a budget and have as much fun as possible for your ticket price. To make budgeting even easier, everything aside from the amusement attractions and inflatables is included in your entrance fee contain.

“We have tried to evaluate the day pass so that it is affordable for all families. We assume that the demand will be very high. Please book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

The two-day event takes place in June

“After the year we’ve all had, we certainly think the kids deserve a reward and real family fun.”

Tickets are already on sale and can be booked online.

Heaton Park is served by two tram stops – Heaton Park and Bowker Vale – and the organizers hope that as many people as possible will be able to travel on Metrolink.
